Data Protection Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Dial N Fashion (www.dialnfashion.com) is read all over the world. This Data Protection Policy explains how we handle personal data and the rights every reader has, wherever they live. It then adds what applies in specific regions, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), and US state privacy laws such as California’s CCPA/CPRA. It adds detail to our Privacy Policy, which covers cookies, advertising and analytics.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Your personal data is controlled by Afojet Infotech, the operator of Dial N Fashion. Under the GDPR we are the “controller”; under the DPDP Act we are the “Data Fiduciary”.

  • Address: Sentosa Heights, Opp. Ambevelly Arcade, Utran Sayan Road, Surat – 394101, Gujarat, India
  • Email: info@afojet.com (subject: “Data request”)
  • Phone: +91 94094 50840

2. Our promises to every reader

  • We collect only what we need, and we tell you why before we collect it.
  • We never sell your personal data.
  • Newsletter emails are sent only if you tick the consent box and confirm your email address with the code we send you.
  • You can see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw consent, at any time — whatever country you live in.
  • We keep data only as long as described below, and we protect it with reasonable security.

3. Personal data we collect and why

AdvertisingCookie and advertising identifiers, IP address, device detailsTo show ads (Google AdSense); personalised ads only where you allow themYour consent where the law requires it

We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive data (such as health, religion or biometric data).

Where we rely on consent, we ask for it clearly and separately — for example, the newsletter consent box and, in regions that require it, the cookie consent message. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it:

  • Newsletter: click Unsubscribe in any email, or email info@afojet.com.
  • Comments: email us and we will remove your comment and data.
  • Cookies: change your choice in the consent message (where shown) or your browser settings, and manage Google ads at Google Ad Settings.

Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before.

5. Who receives your data

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Website, under terms that require them to protect it:

  • Web hosting — stores the Website, its database and server logs.
  • Email — Google (Gmail) sends verification codes and replies; our newsletter is sent with the Sendy email platform through our email delivery provider.
  • Google — Google Analytics and Google AdSense. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Authorities — only when the law requires it.

6. International transfers

We are based in India, and our service providers may process data in India, the United States and other countries. Wherever your data goes, we expect the same level of protection. For transfers out of the EEA/UK we rely on safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses used by our providers or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified. Transfers from India follow the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.

7. How long we keep data

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe; afterwards we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we respect your choice.
  • Verification codes: expire after 10 minutes and are deleted within a day.
  • Comments: while the comment is published; spam and rejected comments are deleted.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months after our last reply.
  • Server logs: up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security issue.
  • Analytics: up to 14 months in Google Analytics.

8. Your rights (all readers)

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Access — tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • Correct — fix inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Delete — erase your data, unless we must keep it by law;
  • Withdraw consent or object to how we use your data, including for direct marketing;
  • Restrict how we use your data, or give it to you in a portable format;
  • Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to (as the DPDP Act allows).

Email info@afojet.com with the subject “Data request”. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within 30 days at the latest (or sooner where local law requires), and it is free of charge. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.

9. Region-specific information

9.1 India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

  • We process your digital personal data only for the purposes listed in section 3, with your consent or for the legitimate uses the Act allows.
  • You have the rights to information, correction, completion, updating and erasure, to nominate another person, and to grievance redressal.
  • Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, Afojet Infotech, Sentosa Heights, Opp. Ambevelly Arcade, Utran Sayan Road, Surat – 394101, Gujarat, India · info@afojet.com · +91 94094 50840. We acknowledge grievances promptly and resolve them within the time required by law.
  • If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
  • The newsletter and comments are meant for adults. If you are under 18, please use them only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.

9.2 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland — GDPR

  • Legal bases: consent (newsletter, analytics and advertising cookies — Art. 6(1)(a)); legitimate interests (running and securing the Website, preventing spam, answering enquiries — Art. 6(1)(f)); legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Cookie consent: before analytics and advertising cookies are used, visitors from these regions see a consent message from Google’s certified consent management platform, where they can accept, refuse or choose purposes.
  • Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection and withdrawing consent, as described in section 8.
  • Complaints: you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work — see the list of EU authorities, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the Swiss FDPIC.
  • Children under 16 should not subscribe or comment without a parent’s consent.

9.3 United States — California and other state privacy laws

  • In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (such as name, email and IP address), internet activity (pages viewed, cookie identifiers) and approximate location, for the purposes in section 3.
  • We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies from Google may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under some state laws. You can opt out of personalised ads at Google Ad Settings, through the privacy message where it is shown, or by emailing us.
  • Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states with privacy laws may request access, correction or deletion as described in section 8, and may use an authorised agent. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer.
  • We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

9.4 Other countries

Readers in Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA), Australia (Privacy Act), Singapore (PDPA), the UAE, South Africa (POPIA) and elsewhere have the rights described in section 8, and may also complain to their national data protection authority. If your local law gives you more rights than this policy describes, we will honour them.

10. Security

We protect data with HTTPS encryption, access limited to authorised people, two-step sign-in (password plus email code) for our admin area, hashed passwords and verification codes, and regular updates. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to affect you, we will inform you and the relevant authorities as the law requires — including the Data Protection Board of India and, for EU/UK readers, the competent supervisory authority.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. If a change significantly affects how we use data you gave us with consent, we will ask for your consent again where required.
